She is passionate about igniting curiosity in science and fostering a love for learning through innovative teaching methods.

Catherine’s teaching experience includes both state and independent schools where she’s taught all three Sciences to GCSE level and Chemistry to A-level. Since 2016, Catherine has also worked as a private tutor, adapting and tailoring content for all the English examination boards. During her teaching career, Catherine has not only guided students towards GCSE and A-level academic success, but has also assisted them with their university applications, particularly where the goal has been Medicine or G5 universities. She is a natural mentor and is able to provide expert guidance and supervision for EPQs, Chemistry Olympiads and STEM related applications to top universities.

In her own education, Catherine is a First-Class Chemistry graduate (MChem) from the University of Oxford (Jesus College) and a qualified teacher (QTS - Oxfordshire SCITT). As a tutor, Catherine has an excellent track record and specialises in “levelling up” students of all abilities. The progression of her recent cohort of A-level students provides an impressive example - a number of students who started with U and E grades finished the course with A grades. Overall 91% of her Year 12 Chemistry cohort received Grade A in their AS level exams.

In addition to classroom teaching, Catherine has served as a guest lecturer for MSc programmes across Europe, including Imperial College and UCL. She is highly proficient in digital educational tools and data management and blends academic rigour with a lifelong commitment to community engagement and science outreach. Catherine has a proven track record in designing curriculum materials that bridge the gap between complex science and public understanding.

Beyond the lab and classroom, Catherine is an active community leader, contributing to local governance, conservation, and mutual aid efforts.
