Mental Health & Wellbeing Support

At Being Best, we understand that a young person’s wellbeing is the foundation for learning, growth, and happiness. School can be tough, and life outside the classroom brings its own challenges. That’s why we offer dedicated mental health and wellbeing support - helping students build resilience, manage stress, and feel confident in themselves, whatever life throws their way.

Our Approach

  • Holistic Wellbeing: We look at the whole picture -mind, body, and emotions. Our support helps students develop healthy habits, positive self-talk, and strategies for managing anxiety or low mood.

  • Specialist Practitioners: Our partner counsellors and neurodivergent practitioners are experienced in supporting young people with a wide range of needs, including special educational needs and neurodiversity.

  • Safe, Non-Judgemental Space: Every student deserves to be heard and understood. We create a welcoming environment where young people can talk openly about their worries, fears, or hopes for the future.

  • Practical Tools & Strategies: We equip students with real-life tools for emotional regulation, stress management, and self-care, skills that last a lifetime

Attitudes to School

For many of us, the experience of being undermined at school, (regardless of whether it was intentional) leaves us feeling unsafe, embarrassed and vulnerable. Following one or more negative experiences like this, some teens will doubt their ability and will determine to keep their opinions to themselves in the future, fearful that others are laughing at them. School can become a source of stress and anxiety, and this leads to some students becoming withdrawn and, in more extreme cases, other students may avoid school altogether.

How We Support Students

Support might include one-to-one sessions, group workshops, or ongoing check-ins, whatever feels right for the student and their family. We work in partnership with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure every young person gets the care they need.

If your child is struggling with school, feeling anxious, or just needs a little extra support, we’re here to help them feel seen, heard, and empowered.
