Preparing for A-levels - A course for building skills in essay writing and critical analysis. This is a four-day preparation course for those students progressing from GCSE to A-level and planning to study essay related subjects. On this occasion it is geared specifically towards students taking Psychology or Sociology (or both). This course includes study and consolidation skills and essay writing with a particular focus on teaching the skills needed for analysis. It is designed to help students to find their feet during the first weeks of A-level which we know is a big step up from GCSE and can be quite daunting. It aims to build confidence early on and to introduce an understanding of what is expected at A-level. This course also provides a system for achieving academic excellence and confidence around debates, essay writing and exams. I highly recommend this course and if your child is studying Politics or History and would like something similar, please let me know and we will do our best to provide a course for them. -

SUPPORT AND LESSONS IN TERM-TIME
A number of our students opt for support during term time, often alongside other priorities (school, college, home-schooling, coaching, counselling, medical or mental health support).
For each student, the programme of support will depend on their individual needs. As such, we can either recommend tutors for specific subjects and goals, or provide a bespoke programme with a suggested support team (this can be a combination of coaching, counselling, SEN support and tutoring, depending on the individual’s needs).
We are more than happy to discuss both options with you in order to help you to decide which is the most suitable for you or your child.
